Two Birds, One Stone. What do we do? Just keep dreaming! (Just keep dreaming, just keep trusting...)
Yes, that is a Finding Nemo reference. Amen. Lesson: Don't ever under estimate God. He's proving to be bigger and better than...everything. Fill in the blank. During DTS we had a speaker named Brenda Lewis, who talked on dreams, dreaming with God, and the way that through everything, dreams achieved or better, his ultimate goal is relationship with us. We talked on holding our hopes, desires, and hearts with open hands, and turning our eyes away from the road and looking only to the sweet face of Papa. One goal; to know Him, and to love him more. Brenda had us all make a 'dream paper' and asked us to draw what we wanted in life. On my paper, amongst other things, I drew a bible school of some sort, and I also wrote of my desire to go to Israel. I remember sitting, dreaming with Jesus and writing all the things that I wanted, and He told me to put away any restrictions I thought might be problematic to getting to the things that I desired. Money aside, relationships aside, living situations aside, church aside, job aside, mindset aside. Did I believe He was big enough? Good enough? I didn't know, but I was just letting my heart run. At least it looked pretty on the paper. Ha. Never under estimate God. I'm dreaming too small! My own dreams are too small! He has presented me with the opportunity to stay here on base in Mexico for another 3 months to do an intensive Bible Core Course, and then a 3 week missions outreach to Israel. Bam. Two birds, one stone, and so fast! He says "I can make your dreams reality lickety split, now come and listen to my dreams for your life..." Taste and see that the Lord is good. I'm super excited for this next chapter, and I trust God's provision completely, yet as of right now I am quite in need of funds. The school and trip together cost 6000$ and I have none of it so far. Yikes. So I appeal to you. If you would like to step into what God is doing in Mexico and Israel and help fund me, please visit http://www.ywamsandiegobaja.org/donationsandpayments/ and click student payments, or if you want to just send a check by snail mail, you can make it out to Toryanna DeYoung. Thank you all so much for your love and support and prayers, none of this is possible without you. More updates to come! Toryanna
